By following these guidelines, you can help Keep Newnan Beautiful while ensuring proper waste and recycling practices. Thank you for doing your part!

Trash and Recycling Services for Newnan Residents

Residents of the City of Newnan are serviced by Amwaste with an all-in-one can system for trash and recycling. For any issues regarding your trash service, please contact the Sanitation Department at 770-253-6025.

Recycling Guidelines

Items Accepted for Curbside Recycling:

  • Cardboard and Mixed Paper

  • Aluminum Cans

  • Plastic Jugs, Jars, and Bottles

Important: All items must be clean, dry, and free of food waste.

 

Items NOT Accepted for Curbside Recycling:

  • Electronics

  • Glass

  • Household Hazardous Waste (e.g., lightbulbs, batteries)

 

Please save these items for the next recycling event or email us at knb@newnanga.gov for assistance in finding a nearby recycling location.

 

Glass Recycling:
Glass cannot be placed in your curbside bin but can be recycled at Coweta County Compactor sites. A full list of locations and hours of operation can be found here.

 

Household Hazardous Waste Disposal:
