The Importance of Green Spaces
Green spaces are vital to every community, offering places for recreation, learning, and connecting with nature. In Newnan, we are proud to have three unique green spaces: the Outdoor Classroom, the Pollinator Garden, and the LINC trail system.

Outdoor Classroom & Pollinator Garden
In 2017, Keep Newnan Beautiful transformed a vacant lot into a vibrant green space that continues to benefit our community.
Recognizing the value of outdoor environments as places for education and growth, KNB partnered with Niagara Cares in 2019 to create Coweta County's first Outdoor Classroom. Designed for children under 10, the classroom features interactive activities crafted from natural and recycled materials, encouraging hands-on exploration and learning in a lush, inviting setting.
The Pollinator Garden complements this space, supporting local biodiversity and providing a living example of the importance of pollinators in our ecosystem.
You can find the Outdoor Classroom and Pollinator Garden at 14 Carmichael Street, behind the University of West Georgia in downtown Newnan.
